Healthy Choices

Wellness
Like alot of you, we here at Maggic Cleaning Service have had an enormous exposure to healthy lifestyle choices and been encouraged to make good choices for ourselves and our families. It's in every health promoting location you can imagine and our healthy choices are becoming mor fun and interesting too.

My children where brought up with minimal TV and very little internet content. They had wooden and non toxic toys and where fed all the best organic and clean, pure foods I could provide them with. They played with their toys and where given constructive and educational games to play and interacted with their friends and peers often. Their clothing was all natural fibres and their health and beauty products where all natural too. At one point I was trying to create a chemcial free home by using no chemicals so that our children would  not be over exposed to the harsh chemicals we use in our homes. I was under the impression that most people in the world was making the same efforts everyday to do the same for their family and themselves.

My exhusband and I even went to the lengths of cleansing and detoxing through diet and fasting to the point where I did a colon cleanse just to prove wellness. Our food became so important to me that I began to believe that the food products on our supermarket shelves where not labelled properly and our cleaning products are evenowrse. Eating a naturally derived or organic food product became an important choice and eating real whole foods became a priority. Our food is so important and our only source of energy.

Then our chemical intake became an issue when I realised that the chemical manufacurers aren't even required by law to display the contents of their products. The products on our shelves that we have been relying on for generations became a big problem for me. Now armed with the knowledge of what chemicals are hidden in those attractively marketed products. I don't want to buy them anymore. I want to know what is in them. Every ingredient should be displayed and I think it should be against the law not to do so. This problem is starting to change with more products coming onto the market that we as consumers are able to decide about by reading the packaging or going to their informational website.

I continue to try to live a clean and healthy lifestyle by eating well when I'm organised and by choosing the products I know have less bad chemicals and additives in them. I also teach my children to do the same because I have begun to realise that they didn't notice our efforts or understand why I was making those choices. At times they have made some really bad choices and been unwell but we struggle on armed with the understanding that learning takes time. We nurture our children and live our lives with hope that one day they too will have the knowledge and understanding we have.

There are alot of bad choices out there in the world for us and our children and as a consumer I want to be able to walk into a shop that doesn't even offend my eyesight with bad choices. In short I want an healthy alternative choice supermarket with an array of better choices which I can then comfortably rely on being safe for clean living and clean eating.

Conclusion

I need further information, are we trending towards online shopping because we are becoming aware of what we are being sold on the supermarket shelves? Have we absorbed so much information about this clean living and clean eating subject that we know that what we are being presented with in our supermarkets is not what we want. I, as a consumer need to decide that our supermarkets take time to browse through and that the specials and cut prices are not necessarily what I want. In hindsight cheap is not healthy and cost cutting is not revitalising. You might be replenishing your shelves but your probably uncomfortable or suffering and may even be at the doctors more often. I am going to continue to make better choices.
