Time to reshuffle and rethink

With millions of people now working from home in the wake of the coronavirus, many find themselves sharing their work day with their partner and or kids. Working from home together can lead to the occasional fight and frequent miscommunication. Now that you've got yourself into an uncomfortable and frustrated state of working from home. It might be time to rethink and refresh.
A few top issues include:
- Now that you've created your work spaces is it good enough?
- Are you aching all over after working 60% of the dy through because your office chair is wrong
- Are you suddenly thinking your eye sight is going because your lighting at home is dull
- Has you waist band tightened because the fridge and pantry are readily accessed
- Are your office supplies limited caused by a lack of planning and an over exuberant use of A4 for 3 unit art
- Are you hot desking at home and finding your space is not your own and the dreaded lurgy wants to pop up
- Have you allowed the bathroom floor to become a towel and paper war zone created by a handwashing bonanza
If any of these apply you've hit organisers rethink time!
Your space has been used and over abused for a few weeks now. Over the coming week take stock of what works and what doesn't and trash what doesn't work straightaway. It's time to refine and refresh according to your current habits and change the things that aren't working.
My best tip; suggest that each household memeber write down the things that are urking them and sit down for a meeting with your family after dinner and perhaps with a soothing drink. Approach the unapproachable topics and give one suggested solution each. Don't overdo this advice giving part because someone might pop and the next thing you know you're fighting.
Once you have the worst part out and the suggested solutions are on paper. End your meeting on a high note by toasting to the best thing about each individual.
If you wish to over suggest and prattle on about how things could be improved regardless of expense write that down for the noticeboard as a minutes to your meeting.
New necessities for your home:
Noticeboard (evidence of the desire to communicate) also good to post notes on
Timer (to shorten speeches) this may also help to keep breaks about right with KPI's in mind
Cleaning Schedule (if you don't have a cleaner)
Hand sanitising and moisturing station (evidence of attempts at cleanliness)
Stationery/office supply cupboard, drawer or shelf
Suggested steps to aleviate routine blues:
Walk around the block in the morning as an end of home beginning of work routine
Funky evening and soft lighting for non work hours
TV off during work hours, lunchtime TV is acceptable (use the timer)
Radio on during office hours
Reward yourself for work efficiency at home by starting a coin jar. Treat to be decided later.
Encourage airflow and clean air with aromatherapy and a fan.
Socks on cold feet and a blanket over the lap to save on electricity
Water purifier
I wish you the best over this Covid-19 period an dhope that you can come to a permanent stay at home solution from what we are calling this pandemic. Let's just modernly decide to work from home because it's better that way. Think o the savingn on fuel and motor vehicle costs or travel costs alone.
I hope you are well and stay that way.
